Santa Monica, Calif., June 20, 2013 — RPA, a leading advertising agency headquartered in Los Angeles, won four Interactive Awards from thinkLA, the largest advertising industry organization for Southern California, as well as three silver National ADDY Awards for its work with Honda. These awards, all won for interactive efforts, highlight RPA's longstanding digital capabilities that unobtrusively attract interest, participation and conversations across popular social-media sites.

thinkLA established the Interactive Awards Gala in 2011 to celebrate the achievements of local companies and individuals who are interactive marketing leaders. RPA and Honda won Best Social Campaign for the pioneering "Pintermission," Best Video Campaign for Monsters Calling Home, Best Interactive Campaign also for Monsters Calling Home and Best Mobile Campaign for the Honda Accord integration with Zynga.

The national ADDY Awards celebrate the spirit of creative advertising excellence. RPA and Honda won a silver Best Digital Advertising Video award for Monsters Calling Home, a silver Digital Advertising Social Media award for "Pintermission" and a silver Non-Traditional Advertising award for Monsters Calling Home.

"Gaining top honors for our use of social media and interactive campaigns on Honda projects from both thinkLA and the National ADDY Awards is incredibly gratifying and demonstrates RPA's innovative approach to digital work," said Joe Baratelli, EVP, Chief Creative Officer at RPA.

To make its debut on Pinterest and to continue support of the CR-V "Leap List" campaign, Honda encouraged people to stop using the popular social network for 24 hours. Honda offered some of the most active pinners $500 to take a "#Pintermission"—a 24-hour break from Pinterest to get out and do some of the things they've been pinning about.

As part of their "Honda Loves You Back" effort, Honda and RPA gave LA-based band Monsters Calling Home the surprise of a lifetime by getting them their unexpected big break as the special musical guest on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." This "Honda Loves You Back" effort recognizes this up-and-coming band's recent "Fight to Keep" video featuring the band recording, performing and shooting in the band members' Accord, CR-V and Fit. All the work was produced in-house by RPA's content development creative and production teams.

"These unique campaigns masterfully bridged the passions of Honda customers with original content while embracing Honda's fun-loving, approachable brand personality," said Tom Peyton, AVP, Advertising and Marketing at American Honda.
