What’s the most important part of your job?
Understanding people: my brands' audiences, my clients and my coworkers.
What does it mean to be part of an agency that puts “People First”?
You’re always reminded that your “targets" are actually people to engage with, your “clients” are people to partner with, and your “brand team" is a group of smart, creative people who bring a wide variety of talents to the advertising party.
What’s the biggest change you see coming up ahead for advertising and marketing?
The reemergence of the importance of brand in growing your audience vs. just focusing on your current/in-market customers within the echo chamber of measurable digital media.
What have you learned from the team you lead?
Smart ideas come from everyone. You just have to ask.
What qualities do you look for in an RPA Associate, beyond the usual?
Positivity. Advertising can be a tough business but we're not curing cancer. It should be fun at least some of the time.
Talk about a client who’s had an important impact on you.
Working with Intuit QuickBooks I've had the pleasure of helping a large organization evolve over time – aligning its organizational structure to better serve its marketing objectives and, ultimately, its customers. That level of partnership between client and agency is something that makes RPA special.
What’s on the horizon for you? What do you most look forward to accomplishing?
Continuing to make marketing communications that people want to engage with.
