What’s the most important part of your job?

To me, it's being able to deliver the best possible solution, on-time and on-budget. Basically, trying to please as many people as possible!

What does it mean to be part of an agency that puts “People First”?

It means treating each other as human beings, with respect and decency on a daily basis. It means completely trusting and putting faith in my collaborators and believing that they are grown-ups and can do their jobs with the same pride and sense of responsibility I expect of myself. It means not making others feel guilty for wanting to have a life outside of work, because after all, it's all of those experiences outside of work that make what we bring to our jobs more interesting, complex and special.

What’s the biggest change you see coming up ahead for advertising and marketing?

Virtual reality, hands down. Now we just have to figure out what to do with it!

What have you learned from the team you lead?

That what makes us all come in to work every day is the people. We work hard as a team and we play hard as a team, and when we have that, there's nothing we wouldn't do for one another.

What qualities do you look for in an RPA Associate, beyond the usual?

Not taking themselves or this job/industry too seriously.

Talk about a client who’s had an important impact on you.

Prior to working at RPA, I worked with a number of different clients, but several from entertainment, who were not, let's say, the most enjoyable. When I came to work at RPA it was for Honda. I had never met such down-to-earth, knowledgeable and passionate clients as our Honda digital clients. They all truly cared about the job they did and they cared about us. It gave me a true sense of being a partner with them. There was nothing I wouldn't do for them, mostly because they were decent people who wanted to do a good job and succeed, just like me. Most importantly, they were always fair. That has been a lasting feeling which I try to carry through to all of my professional relationships since.

What’s on the horizon for you? What do you most look forward to accomplishing?

Launching the first ever fully-immersive, online virtual reality product show room. I can't wait to do that.
