Building consensus, articulating a clear vision, problem-solving.

What does it mean to be part of an agency that puts “People First”?

Developing solutions with a rigorous focus on people. Understanding our clients as people. Being part of a team where people genuinely like each other. And feeling valued as a person, not just a contributor to the bottom line.

What’s the biggest change you see coming up ahead for advertising and marketing?

All media channels experiencing the constant and rapid change that digital has undergone for the last 20 years.

What is the biggest, most disruptive thing the world has experienced in the last 30 years.

What have you learned from the team you lead?

Over the years I have learned that it is far better, and far more satisfying, to be part of a team - to collaborate, to sometimes disagree and challenge each other, to engage in an ongoing and spirited debate - than to work alone.

What qualities do you look for in an RPA Associate, beyond the usual?

Curiosity. A love of problem-solving and challenges.

Talk about a client who’s had an important impact on you.

When Ernie Kelsey became the manager of Honda regional marketing in 2013, I had been in my current role for only a few months. Before that I had worked on HRM digital for 12 years, but I was new to the "traditional" side of the business. We forged a partnership that is one of the best client relationships I've had. He has always treated RPA (and me) as a strategic partner. He always seemed to understand and trust that we had his best interests at heart. And we have had incredible successes over the last few years in terms of sales and campaign performance.
