The list is based on agency and peer nominations, awards and campaigns they have won, the influence they've had on their companies, and their potential to be industry leaders.

Nancy Mao, associate media director, RPA

A paid search specialist, Mao handles media for Honda, one of the Los Angeles-based independent agency's largest accounts.

As the auto industry struggled during the pandemic to keep up with consumer demand for cars, Mao directed potential new-car buyers' searches toward certified pre-owned vehicles as a workaround, helping Honda maintain brand consideration and compete with auto resellers.

Mao also leads paid search media strategy for other high-profile national accounts like Acura.
