2020 has been stressballs
It's been a few weeks since we talked with the PHC team, so we challenged ourselves to put something fun, yet focused on driving results, together for you — and to do it fast.
We had the idea to do… something. Something that would show you all we can move quickly. During our call, you mentioned Stressballs as one brand where you might need help. So, Stressballs it is.
We put together a simple brief. Many caveats here. We made a lot of informed guesses and assumptions about what the right tonality might be, and what kinds of claims you might be able to say. We probably got some wrong. In real life, we would have worked together on this part.
THE IMAGINARY BRIEF:
We pretended that P&G called us and said they wanted to boost sales of Stressballs during the last month of the year and drive traffic to the Stressballs website to encourage ordering from the site.
(In reality, we noticed the “shop now” section on the trystressballs.com site sends users into a loop and people can’t actually shop now. Let us know if we could help there!)
The key message to communicate: Stressballs are the perfect stocking stuffer to wrap up one of the most stressful years in memory. We wanted to keep the tonality fun, relaxed and positive.
We did a quick, facilitated idea generation session with folks from different disciplines – including creative, strategy, digital strategy, production and our agency marketing team. We generated over 50 ideas in less than two hours.
The creative team worked to polish some of the favorite ideas and take them from “early thought” to “tight concept.” The core team reviewed together and shared feedback.
The team made adjustments per the feedback and took the concepts all the way through to execution.
