Honda CR-V Music Festival
Many Gen Yers have been told life is over when true adulthood—marriage, family, "settling down," etc—sets in, but they've shown their ability to be responsible while continuing to lead a fun, active and fulfilling life. Mirroring this unique perspective, Honda is launching a 60- and 30-second anthem spot, "Music Festival," to launch the new 2015 CR-V that speaks to Gen Y and focuses on adults who are establishing themselves and are about to or in the midst of entering the next life stage.
Shot on location in Austin, Tex., the brand leveraged the Honda Stage multiplatform music program by using the Austin City Limits music festival as the setting and focus for this emotional, brand centric spot. A Honda Stage band, Portugal. The Man, song, "Carry Us All," was remixed to give a romantic and emotional back__DROP for "Music Festival."
The spot uniquely speaks to Gen Y in a way that resonates by using the actual music and venues they appreciate and also happens to feature talent all based in Austin, including the driver and front passenger who are an actual married couple.
